Ok, this time I went looking for RaeAnne Thayne. I needed my Christmas reading fix, so I headed to the bookstand at my local grocery store. I wasn’t disappointed!
SNOWFALL ON HAVEN POINT is the story of Andrea Montgomery, a widow with two small children trying to rebuild her life. Enter Sheriff Marshall Bailey, a longtime lawman recovering from an accident. Andie reluctantly agrees to keep an eye on Marshall for her friend Wyn, Marshall’s sister.
Marshall is gruff and he doesn’t need anybody. And Andrea sure isn’t looking for any complications in her life. But over time and numerous home visits, Andrea and her two children soften Marshall’s heart with their company and fill his stomach with great meals. What’s a sheriff to do but fall in love? And the same goes for Andrea. The initial attraction is there, but the relationship doesn’t happen overnight.
The theme isn’t new, by any means, but Thayne has “it”: that ability to weave a heartwarming story with believable and instantly likeable characters.
So it’s two for two! Warm up the cocoa, light the tree and settle in with SNOWFALL ON HAVEN POINT.
