THE EYE OF ARGON and the Further Adventures of Grignr the Barbarian
THE EYE OF ARGON is an homage to the hacked-out story written by would-be famous author Jim Theis, who submitted his gargantuan work of pulp fiction to a fan magazine published in 1970 by the Ozark Science Fiction Association. The tale was “rediscovered” in 2005, all to the bliss and perhaps chagrin of a legion of fans that recognize the horrifically cliched and inept prose. It has become a spectacle of tongue-in-cheek humor. Oh boy, has it ever. Purple prose in neon lights.
